Sony should introduce the playstation protection plan to europe.

Its unfair that usa got it because playstation is selling more in europe than in usa and we need it more because of the updates issues, ylod etc hopefully in the future this protection plan comes to europe.

A plan like that offered in the US would be good but surely they're just as likely to suffer hardware failure as we are so I don't see why we need it 'more'.

We did have such a thing in the UK but some exploited a (rather obvious and easily exploitable) loophole meaning it was closed and everyone suffered as a consequence.

Sometimes I wish the UK wasn't in Europe with their stupid laws.

What do you mean Simon?

We had a similar plan available in the UK, people exploited it and D&G canned it. I don't think we can blame this one on the EU.

It's probably because there is a Protection Plan listed on the US PS Store but not in the EU store.

Re: Sony should introduce the playstation protection plan to europe.

The simplist solution would be to slightly increase the cost of playstation plus and include it with the service. Sony could then monitor the hardware themselves.

Re: Sony should introduce the playstation protection plan to europe.

D&G still cover ps3's from 2.49-5.99 a month (think slim is 2.49 and 60gb's are 5.99)

oh, have you got a link as I have GAME Care at the moment and don't know where I'll stand 'if' GAME go bust. Plus I am on the look out for extra insurance on my PS3 (apart from house insurance) when my game care plan comes to an end anyway.
