I'd like to get a decent surround sound system but really can't be bothered with all he wires trailing around the living room / up the walls. As such, I was wondering if sound bars are any good?

I'm thinking if getting this one:

Yeah, I appreciate that a SoundBar isn't going to compare to a decent actual surround system but, what I'm wondering is.......as I don't want to deal with all the wires, is the SoundBar a decent alternative?  Are they any good?

Okay thanks.  What SoundBars have you tried so I know to avoid those ones?
