Codemasters’ secret shooter is Bodycount

Bodycount

The identity of the Stuart Black-developed Codemasters shooter has been revealed: it’s called Bodycount.

The game is the main feature of the next OXM UK, which is sent to subs today.

The magazine says it’s “The Ultimate Shooter”, but no more details were given other than that.

This is the game both OXM and OPM UK were teasing as the debut project from the publisher’s just-opened studio in Guildford, headed up by the former senior designer of the 2006 EA Criterion shooter that shared his surname.

Expect more details on it soon.

So is this the spritual sucsessor to BLACK then? I never played it i only saw a friend on it who couldn't stress enough how good it was so i really need to source it. This i have been excited for for a while now and i have high expectations from it as well :smileywink:

Re: Stuart Black shooter revealed!

Haha just found this quote which i find highly amusing as well from the brains behing the game :smileyhappy:

Stuart Black himself went on to slam the state of the current FPS market, stating: “There's a lot of cover-based shooters out at the moment, but when a guy hunkers down behind something, you've just got to sit there and wait for him to pop his head up. Pops up, couple of bullets to his head, pops back down again. And I'm waiting for him to pop back up again? F***ing boring. I can't be bothered hanging around like that.”

Re: Stuart Black shooter revealed!

There is no way this could be a direct sequel or anything related to Black.

That game was made by Criterion and published by EA!

Sorry guys!! I would love a new black as much as the next guy but you have to face facts!

Nobody said direct sequel :smileywink:

I said 'spiritual' which means its produced by the same person - Stuart Black and with it being a shooter it can be called a spiritual successor, an unofficial sequel if you like :smileywink:

Sequel or not its being produced by the brains behind Black so its going to be good and thats all we're interested in.
