So My fat model has just got its 2nd YLOD, so i am looking to purchase a new slim model and just insert my 500GB Hard Drive from the fat model. Will this wipe all of my game saves on my Hard Drive? Also i want to transfer my PSN ID to the new console is this easily done?

Yes it will.

To sign back in on the slim go to the network section of the XMB > sign up for Playstation Network > use existing account then enter your email address and password when prompted.

Job Done.

Shame you didn't take advantage of the 30 day PS+ sub, as you could have uploaded all your saves to that and downloaded them on your new PS3 when you set it all up.

Can you do that with all games saves?

Yes, within the storage limit. One of the main benefts is copy protected saves. You can copy to the storage as often as you like. With copy protected saves you have to wait 24 hours before you can copy them from the storage.

Sorry for being really lazy but how do I go about copying them?

Find your save, hit triangle, then copy and choose the storage cloud
