Re: Terms of Service Change: Only 3 Activations.

Well I'm at 3.

1 phatty sold off before I knew to deactivate.  I did a format etc but never knew to deactivate.

2 Slims in my house that I own.  That's me at an end then.

I called up asking for the first activation to be reset but was told "No".

Guess who's not buying anything else of the Playstation Store! This mug right here!!!!

I've over 20+ titles and that's not even including DLC.  I own all the Burnout DLC, Prince of Persia Epilogue and a tonne more.  Spent about £250 to £300 easily.

They won't get that again.

Avoiding GAME/Gamestation.
Ripoff prices, poor value on trade ins and shoddy customer service.
Latest trade in comparison, Mario Kart Wii with Wheel:
GAME offered a measely £8
HMV offered a huge £25.

Current content should be ok unless you try and re-download it, its at that point the license is picked up.

Well Sony customer service advisors need to be trained to advise people to 'de-activate' their PSN from the system (if its being swapped for a re-furb). I have had 4 replacements now and not once was I told to 'de-activate' my PSN.

Re: Terms of Service Change: Only 3 Activations.

I just got off the phone from a rather odd call to the Playstation guys. I explained to the guy that by dropping the amount of activations from 5 to 3 anyone who's suffered a hardware failure has one activation left.

He informed me that the 3 console activations only applied to Video store content and the 5 activation rule still applied to games!

He then put me on hold while he spoke to his 'supervisor', when he came back on the line he told me to 'disregard' that message, confused I said 'The TOS revision email, you're telling me to ignore it - meaning the 5 activation limit on all content still stands?' to which he replied 'Yes'

I don't think he knew what he was talking about seeing as he's told me to essentially ignore the revisions made to the PSN TOS. I won't name the guy because if he worked for me he'd get a slap on the wrist, unless of course it is an error on Sony's part and the revisions will be, um...revised :smileyindifferent:

Confused much?

Re: Terms of Service Change: Only 3 Activations.

VERY IMPORTANT:

This is a typo - the number of activated consoles is STILL 5

You should receive an updated email within the next few days.
