Well - funny enough - the same happened to lot of people pre-rdering from Zavvi (and some ordered weeks or even months ago). Also Woolies and The Hut "pushed back" their release dates and are all "out of stock" suddenly ...

Something weird's happening around here ... ! 4 Retailers so far - can't be coincidence all of them run out at the same time.

Something pretty drastic would have to have happened for MM & Sony to push back LBP so close to release.

Sony might be releasing only a limited amount for release date maybe, to create a big hype around the game in the hope of swaying those sitting on the fence on buying a PS3 and persuading them to go get the PS3+LBP bundle that's out on 31st October. Bit of a conspiracy theory but preorders and shops selling out everywhere would generate good publicity.

Might well be but I tell you I'd be pretty p***d off today after getting email from Zavvi that my months old pre-order was pushed back if I haven't got my other copy already from eBay last Saturday ...

Just checked play.com and they still have there's for the 24th

My pre-order with game is still the 24th Octber but it has been that way for months now so it best not change. the game has gone Gold so it should be released on the 24th as it is now in production unless something went wrong with that

I saw a thread in the LBP section the other day.

It was a complaint from the muslim community that a song on one of the LBP levels included sung words from the Qur'an, which apparently is prohibited.

MB noted down the urgrency, locked the thread and that was that.

Maybe this has something to do with it?
