I'm not so sure about these HD remakes anymore. I got the GoW ones in the limited edition GoWIII, I enjoyed 2 but boy GoWI had aged badly. I got the PoP HD remakes because I genuinely enjoyed those games and in our last move a box of PS2 games got lost. The horror of facing up to the fact that PoP1 was a pile of unmitigated... well you get the idea. Disappointed does not cover it. If I had to though:

Timesplitters 1, 2 & 3 complete with online play.

and

Project Zero 1, 2 & 3 easily some of the best survival horror action EVER and so many people missed them first time round.

I kinda know what you mean, but I find that a good game will look aged but play so well you forget about the graphics after 5-10 minutes of play. Mind you, that might just be me as i've been known to forget a film was in black and white because I enjoyed it so much.

Its not the graphics that are the problem. lol. Its the awful controls, the rubbish combat and good God the camera angles or lack of them, or when the camera gets stuck on a wall or behind some scenery so you can't see whats going on. No going through PoP again just shows how limited a game it was and how neat nifty rewinding trick saved what was otherwise a very average platformer. This is why I'm sceptical, I really don't want any other 'classics' ruined by actually playing them again and realising they weren't that good in the first place. Having said all that, when my mates are round we still get the PS2 out and TS2... its still genius.

Re: That Game You Want As A 'HD Remake'

I'm looking forward to the Splinter Cell triology!! Can't wait to play 1 and 2 again, as they were tough!! Hope they come out early 2011.

Timesplitters needs a HD remake but I don't think Crytek would bother or want to re-do them.

Resident Evil needs a reboot.
