On the PS3 mine would be Nier, or more specifically the slightly different Japanese version, NieR Replicant. It got pretty good reviews in Japan but in the West the review scores were mostly terrible... but I found it to be absolutely brilliant.

Red Seeds Profile would be another one, it had some terrible animations and horrible third person shooting gameplay, but overall I loved the game and found it to be one of the most entertaining and enjoyable games I've played in the last few years.

Another game that I felt didn't get much praise was "Mafia II". The story is really short But it's a great variety game! Shame the DLC sucks though

I'm really enjoying Saints Row 2 at the moment. I know a lot of people do like it but when it first came out particularly there was hate for it being a gta rip off.

Yes the graphics are hardly award winning and the guy's accent is a bit random but it's so much fun. Driving around on a quad which is on fire or having serious gangster conversations whilst wearing a pink borat-style mankini and an old lady hat really cheers me up after a tough day.

Haha, that sounds awesome! I occasionally see this game second hand in a local indie games store

Is it worth picking up?

Yes and if you can get a friend to buy it too the whole campaign has co-op. Its graphics and the way the cars handle aren't fantastic but unlike GTA IV it doesn't take itself too seriously and is about having mad fun.

However the new Saints Row is out in Novemeber so you may want to wait for that, I suggest you check out a few youtube vids to see what its like.

EOJ and FFXiii.

i wish Sony could of kept the servers up for that used to have hours of fun on that game with a mate.  I bribed him into getting the game at the same time as me for £70.  but it was good fun (apart from the updte process).

FFXiii is a good game but i know alot of people do not like it.  the moans i have heard have been about "hope" and the linear gameplay but it gets better and is great once you get to the end and have to grind.

Something everyone loves but I hate is Red Dead Redemption.  Too repetitive, storyline just don't want to progress

I'd say Enslaved was totally overlooked sales wise, I thought it was great & had tastiest female character in a game 2 date, sad but true lol.
