Also as others have said you should do a regular back up of your save games.

in my case, i thought comprehensive backup would and now i gotta register over 300 cards again :smileysad:

(i'll make a post in the EOJ thread just incase)

Re: The Unofficial PS3 Hard Drive Upgrade Thread

I've officially joined the "More than 80gig HDD" club. Thanks to everyones advice. I went with the Seagate 160gig.

They don't make those ****ing srews on the the casing easy to take out. Bit fiddly but other than that, everything was

straight forward.

Yeah, the screws was my road block in the process. Literally sat there for a good 10 mins or so trying to get them off and thinking of other ways to do so. Pliers did the trick though, right away. Otherwise, it was a breeze to install.

Re: The Unofficial PS3 Hard Drive Upgrade Thread

$119 and 2hrs later I now have a 320GB HDD, that has a capacity of 298GB, with only 263GB of starting space, or something like that.  I did complete backups and I can confirm that they backup and restore all items on the HDD including copy protected items.

Re: The Unofficial PS3 Hard Drive Upgrade Thread

Are these screws not just standard computer chassis to hard drive screws?? ... In which case, wouldn't the right size jewellers screwdriver or computer tech screwdriver do the trick??

YeahI usedthe right screw driver but they are in very tight and are very soft.

You just have to be very cearful and have a set of plyers on stand-by
