I'm 47 I think, I do not own a Wii, I play every day when the wife has gone to bed. I'm often still on at 2 in the morning and later and still go to work later in the day, 7:30am.
I love fifa, FPS games and racing sims, check out my trophy stats top see the games I've played, plus there were many more before trophies came about.
I am crap compared to others when I go head to head online, but I enjoy playing games. If I log on to MW2 and find myself getting battered more than usual, I log into a porn site instead and batter myself.
ps I have 2 kids and i don't let them on.

Are you sure you didn't just missunderstand when they said they both had a wee in the lounge? ![]()
OP - there are heaps of oldies at the Old Age PlayStationers who qualify as being "old gamers". Some of them also post here although the majority prefer not to incase they get mugged by the "yoof of today".

Yeah mulletino I can understand that. Actually I wasn't looking for people's ages per se, I was looking for some perspective on the way gaming is going. I find it incredible how much moaning goes on in the forums about what's in the store, Home, voice chat etc etc. It tends to be disgruntled yoof who think they're entitled to the world, whereas most of us over 30 are just excited to be playing a console online, and by the concept that games and systems can be patched and augmented (and even expanded) by this high speed internet thingme....

And I thought I was an old gamer at 38!
Like many of you, I was wowing at the likes of Manic Miner on the Speccy all those years ago (and I still have my 2 Speccies and a whole heap of CRASH mags dating back to Christmas 1984, being the Spectrum fanboy I am!).
It makes me laugh really, imagine us old gits in another decade's time. Will we be playing cribbage whilst sipping our Gold Label? Nope, we'll probably all still be online giving it to these young'uns ![]()
Oldschoolers, I salute you. All of you. Do feel free to add me.

I'm 46.
Been gaming since the early days of the ZX81 mono gaming before the ZX Spectrum.
I think that gaming's early core audience has stuck with it, I know a lot of people my age who still game.
Nothing to be ashamed of.

I created a map of "Glider Rider" on the Spectrum on bog-standard graph paper, sent it in to "Your Sinclair" games mag & got it published in 1986.
I assumed they would 'spruce it up' a bit for the print copy, but they didn't. ![]()
They printed the half-arssed attempt I submitted.
Weird feeling pride & shame in the same instance.
Been gaming since I was given a "Grandstand" video games console with different versions of "pong" on it.
Never looked back since (due to me always looking forward).
Like Kingkerouac says, "Nothing to be ashamed of".
Especially since the leaders in the game dev. world are of our age (looks to the Darlings & the Housers & others).
The day I get tired of this medium, is the day I get tired of 'fun'.
**edit**
Ooops, forgot to add, 39~ body age, 12~ mental age. (but who's counting ?)
