US DLC problems..

Hi!

Um, basically my problem is that I bought a US copy of the games Tales of Graces F for my UK PS3. The games works fine.. But I wanted to download DLC for the characters such as outfits, etc.. so obviously not having an American credit card or living in the US, I purchased a US PSN card, put the code in the store, "so far so good..", I thought. They downloaded, I installed.

However, whent he game checks the DLC is comes up with this message, "This DLC does not belong to your PlayStationRNetwork account. Please quit the game and download try downloading it again" (The last part which doesn't really make much sense gramatically, but y'know..) Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I tried deleting the game data and re-downloading the DLC, But I still get the same problem..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

the dlc is most likely region blocked so you would need the correct region psn, but making an account for a region you don't live in is against psn T&C's, and its also against forum rules to discuss making accounts like that so not much help can be given sorry

Very good question?

Its suppossed to be impossible to use US $ PSN voucher card on UK £ account.

Due to store codes being region locked.

And currency values being wrong.

You would need a US account to use US$ which would run the risk of DLC content being PSN ID locked..

Re: US DLC problems..

Yea, he would have had to use a US account to get onto the US store, maybe once he's tried running it the system recognises that the master account is from a different region then not letting him use it.

He has a UK acoount, but bought a game from the US and also bought a US PSN card to work on UK stores. The problem the op has, is compatibilty issues, you must use regional PSN Cards i.e. UK ones for a UK store, as the US ones can only be used in conjunction with US accounts.
