I want to see if anybody has had a more terrible experience with their PS3. It all started before the Great Outage. I had a great bad company 2 game, so I decide to go to sleep. The next day, it starts. The Outage rolls on and on. At this point, I had games that were mostly multiplayer.  Then, it came back. Online BC2 was amazing, and I got MotorStorm Apocolypse. It was fantastic. So I go to sleep. The next day, my ps3 breaks down. The console won't accept discs...So I give it to Best Buy so they can do something about it. Four days later, I get a new PS3 (free at least) I put in BC2 with great anticipation...Its *****ing glitchy beyond anything!!! The game flickers wierd shapes, and when enemy/foe appears right before me, the screen just goes insane...Motorstorm apocolypse? The servers blew their brains out... 

I feel like I wasted my parents money and time...I just hope It doesn't continue...

Nah, it was refurbished...yea I know, its going to suck anyways

I would get a slim. / try with some other games and see if they got the same issue

Give the PS3 back to bestbuy.

They have to give you something that at least works to start with

^^^Listen to the two posts above because it sounds like the refurb was faulty.

Ah yes the refurbished PS3's. I remember the day when my first 60gb PS3 got the YLOD, i was out in town and my brother phones up saying there a yellow light showing after the PS3 froze whilst playing COD4. Got home, confirmed it was YLOD so i rang Sony to get a new one, luckily it was still in warranty, couple of days later the courier came to collect it and recieved a refurb, took it in to play on the PS3 and what do you know? It too has the YLOD! So i rang Sony back up and the same courier collect the PS3 and recieved the new refurb PS3. Few months down the line the PS3 got the YLOD so i gave up and bought the newly out 250gb PS3 Slim, Loved it ever since, dont trust refurbs if i were you lol go treat yourslef to a new fresh PS3.

I would if I had the money. But whatever, I'll just keep trying...

Bogmoab, you should have pushed for a refund or brand new PS3. People have said on here that when that happens they were given a new PS3.
