you made the right decision. I upgraded to a 320gba few months ago and got a 5400 rpm one. I checked a few articles and7200rpm drives were only a tiny bit quicker. If I remember right the loading time was 28 seconds on a 7200 and 30 seconds on a 5400 rpm (the difference was that insignificant).

What a dull xmas present that would be.
I would just wait, these wil go down in price soon enough. This guy wasted a lot of money on a pointlessly large HDD. Fork out a bit more and you can get a dedicated media server with a lot more storage. Without a defrag tool on the PS3, I can see a lot of HDD failures in the coming months.
