If anyone has got the Venom PS2 to PS3 Memory Card Adapter, can you test it with the latest PS3 firmware and let me know if it still works please, as I know Sony bricked a lot of adaptors recently.

mine worked fine, but for some reason it works with official ps2 memorycards, i had to get an unofficial ps1 memory card to transfer the saves of the ps1 to because it wouldnt read official ones

Thanks for the info, but does it still work now though?, as this is what I really need to know before I go and buy one!
as Sony seem to have disabled a lot of adapters recently, as I found out yesterday, after plugging in my PS2 to PS3 controller adapter, they killed it with a firmware update!
it still works on my old PS3 fat (because it's on a lower firmware update (3.15), but I need a memory card adapter that will work on both consoles, i.e work on the latest firmware update as well!, which is 3.70 at the moment.
There's lot's of different memory card adapters around, but they all seem to have their own quirks and even the sellers don't know if they still work!, I read about some people losing all of their saved data after trying to write data back to their PS1 cards from the PS3 and they couldn't even reformat the PS1 card after using one particular memory card adapter.
I sent an e mail to Venom, but since they no longer manufacture it (even though you can still purchase it new from other sellers online) they were not 100% sure if it would still work with the latest firmware update.
I also just read that you can transfer your PS1 saves on to a PS2 memory card, which would of saved you the price of an unofficial PS1 memory card (if you still had a PS2 console to use or borrow, to do that on).

I bought a Venom PS2 to PS3 Memory Card Adapter when I got my first PS3 80gb
with 4 usb ports.
Port number 4 went belly up the first time I used the adapter, but it worked fine on
the other ports, as for the PS2 games, I don't think they worked as well as Sony
said they would.
Well now I use my old PS2 to play any of my old favourites![]()
