Just left VirginMedia after being with them since NTL days cause my connection ending up being completely unusable for nearly 5 months. I was on their 30mb package but most days i'd be lucky if i had 1mb and it was like this everyday all day and all night sometimes till past 2am.

I love when people say that speed is unusable when I have to share that kind of speed with 2 PS3's and countless laptops/computers. We were getting 1,32mb with Sky, after a switch to BT we are on 1.72mb plus we live in outer London.  :smileysad:

He's talking rubbish. Any Sky+ HD box can receive the FTA HD channels even if you don't take out the HD sub.

You have to pay extra for the SkyHD channels on Virgin Media.

Free HD channels are free, like on Sky.

Not on VM you don't As I Said ALL PACKAGES on VM are HD now. you can't chose SD package as there isn't one.

You can no longer get a SD box on VM when you sign up.

SKY will still supply SD boxes if you don't want HD. VM won't, the basic TV subscription includeds 6 HD channels on your free HD VM box.

That's what I said. :smileyindifferent:

You have to pay for the SkyHD premium channels still.

Don't know where on VM you get that from.

But its likely out of date.

TV choices don't require a fee for HD...

Thats were the confusion likely is... as these are new bundles.

Worked it out.

Sorry yes SKYs PREMIUM Channels in HD cost a fee.

But SKYs STANDARD 23 HD Subscription channels don't if you take the XL TV.

I did say "i'd be lucky if i had 1mb" if fact most days it was more like 0.20mb but it wasn't as much the speed more the stability of the connection. Look at the graph at the top its up and down like a mountain range this with the low speeds and some days pings in the 100's made doing anything online almost impossible and it wasn't just for part of the day it was all day everyday past midnight for over 5 months and VirginMedia did nothing to fix it just empty promises of fix dates which got put back every time said date arrived. :smileywink:

There are 3 bundles only now they are on the collections pages on VM site and on the FIRST PAGE here with the link.

Existing customer Do not get the same deal as new customers. there will not be any six month discount..

VIP is the best upgrade.

If you don't care about TV then you realy want the middle package. called pemiere collections.

But RING CS and haggle a price.

Because you may only want 100Mb/s, TV M+ and phone line.
