Developed by Ubisoft Montreal (for 2yrs already) with the AnvilNext Engine.

This in my opinion is the best game shown so far at E3, the concept is really intriguing and watching it I got that real "next-gen feeling". No platforms were announced but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a multi-generation release.

While the graphics (and everything else that accompanies it) looked absolutely brilliant for this generation I think it's just short of what I'm expecting aesthetically/graphically for the beginning of the next-gen, so I'm thinking it's gonna be on PS3/360 and possibly WiiU; I'm pretty sure I saw a PS3 controller during the demo at the Ubisoft Conference.

The city seems so alive, like a living breathing city; the sounds, the animation, the wind and the leaves, the rain brings a real shine to it all.

Getting the user interface right is going to be difficult. Intercepting the ctOS network on the fly during gameplay needs to be seamless, but it all seemed to go quite well during the demo/s, so I have high hopes for that.

Btw, the gameplay demo that's online is slightly different to the one shown during ubi's conference, at the end of the one linked above the player simply drives off, whereas in the one shown at the ubisoft conference the camera zooms out to another player watching on a roof not so far away (possibly hinting at the option of a co-op/mmo approach) who is then tasked with protecting the player we were just watching as he escapes; this just adds a whole new layer to the awesomeness, so watch the gameplay demo within a replay of the ubi conference if you haven't already..

I'm probably in danger of overhyping it for myself but I really can't wait to get my hands on it!

I was surprised as I thought I was watching Sleeping Dogs (which I have zero interest if its the awful re branded True Crime) so I very nearly skipped this

Yves Guillemot(?) just said on GameTrailers that the demo shown was on a high-end PC, just it was being used with a PS3 controller. Apart of us hoped it would be on PS3 as it looks now, its stunning.

It wasn't even a PS3 controller being used, it was a Razer Onza wired PC controller for it

As has been said, was running on PC.

If it comes out this gen on PS3/360 as well as next gen, I think I'll wait for the next-gen versions..
