What music do you game to?

name

So we all listen to music at some point in our lives, whether you actively look out for the next number hit or just zone out to the radio... what music do YOU game too?

Of course the music taste may change from when your playing a first person shooter to when your playing an RPG but do you have a favourite?

When your gaming do you possibly listen to music to balance out/enhance your mood? An example of this may be if your playing something like "Silent Hill" do you listen to something happy like Rebecca Blacks Friday to help you get in the mood to kill the undead?

Of course that is a terrible example, because who really listens to Rebecca Black... (Apologies if you do)

Re: What music do you game to?

Rap, hip-hop, something with beat. Like Biggie, 2Pac, The Roots etc :Music:

If it's a more lazy game, maybe a little Pink Floyd or Alan Parsons Project or some good older rock.

I just listen to the in-game music.

I'm with Renze, the game soundtrack does me just fine. I particularly hate playing FPS games when some douche has his hippity hop music roaring in the background, praise the gaming gods for the mute option.

Re: What music do you game to?

... I should add that I don't have it going when online, and I even make the mrs turn the telly down if I'm online. Along with people eating chips or something else nice and crunchy, this is a pet peeve of mine! Maybe it's just me, but I find it helps to keep my interest while doing multiple playthroughs on games like infamous etc.

Amen to that. The mute button is my friend :smileyvery-happy:

I really only like cranking some music when playing racing games, especially the Burnout Series, as the in game soundtrack can get old pretty fast.

You need to be able to hear the audio cues in Online FPS, that's why I love my surround sound headphones.

I agree with ILythium,

In game music unless it is repeatitive.

I get sick of the Fight Night music pretty fast, so I then change to just some ramdon pop music from Music Umlimited playing on the PC.
