For the pass few months, many devlopers are now locking everyone and I mean EVERYONE from backing up their SAVES from various bugs, crashes and for restoring their progress on a new hard drive replacement. For crying out loud! Why are you SUCH a joke? Many of us consumer buy games just to support you guys / developers and you just waiste everybody's money and implemented these idiotic feature?

Sony, I've been buying games and supporting your crew. But, non of you guys seems to think before implenting this. You could have lock all SAVED games togheter with the user's ID tags!

Numbnuts... you drive 1.2 billions players + Worldwide like crazy! Get a GRIP sony!! Think about this problem and sort it out!!

So far, I still cannot save any of my progress on these GAMES!

GET THESE SORTED!!! For crying out loud... where is the brain power Sony? Havent you heard of User ID lock? Use that instead for Game SAVE!!

you can always transfer the files over ethernet to a new ps3 but lose all on the old ps3

sony for some reason view them as THEIR files but other than that theyre copy protected so they cant be hacked

Uhhh... most of us cannot do that. Game Saves still lock us out from backing up. Even if you replace a new HDD / PS3, its pointless to do a full backup on Saved games. I will STILL be "Un-restorable"...

Edit: I've tested this with Assassin Creed 2 Goty....

I first did a full system backup and took out my old HDD due to weird noise. I then reformat my ps3 for the new HDD. After that... restore - how borring...

A few hours waiting... where is my Assassin Creed save? None - silch - nothing....

There you go folks... time wasted...

As I've mentioned: they have to use other roots, such as: User ID lock on Game Saves. That will kill other cheaters from hacking...

I better hope that Granturismo 5 is going to have another patch for saving game progress! If not, then I may aswell throw this in as a raffle prize for charity...

Update: Gran turismo is getting game save protection lifted! Oh yeah... thank lord. But, the rest... get it sort Sony...
