I honestly have to say at the moment and please forgive me but Skyrim, I'm not big into RPG's, I mean I love the fallout series but they have never really grabbed me like Skyrim has, the fact I can look into the distance and if I see a mountain I wanna climb I can and the music and skill devlopment have impressed me as well, I have yet to encounter the bugs to date and I've had it since day one.

I think Skyrim is probably the best game of the year (bugs aside), although I don't play it. My favourite game of the year though for a third time in s.ix years, Uncharted 3. Once I got past some of the gameplay changes on the second and third playthroughs it not only became entertaining, but challenging in a fun way.

Ok...I'm no RPG fan.....Western or Japanese. I'm that guy that took 10 attempts to get into and complete Mass Effect....but I've been playing Skyrim as a rental for the last 6 days (as a taster) and I love it....the game is epic, truly epic and now I have to go and buy it. So in terms of just achievement it wins GOTY for me....closely followed by Portal 2...which is also a fantastic and fresh game...
UC3 was (and yes I'm a fanboi) also great.....but didn't reach the heights 2 did for me....

Definately Uncharted 3 for me.
There are other games as well that I played as well like Portal 2 & Batman that are up there but UC3 is just too good.

L.A. Noire. I finally had a game where I could not wait for work to finish so I could go home and get into.
Second, BF3, if it had no bugs, server issues or lonewolf teammates it would even be greater online. As it is it's the best online game I have ever played!
