Re: Whats wrong with camping?

If you get shot by the same person in the same doorway twice then don't go through that doorway again or flash it and rush instead of fannying about, if it's the only way through then that's your problem for not defending a spot that is vital.

People spawn camping? You shouldn't have let them into your spawn then...

:smileytongue:

If you want to win then you can take an advantageous spot and you milk it until it's no longer safe according to your judgement, then you move and continue.

However, if it's objective based and you're camping for kills only and not working towards the objective then you're a bad camper, however, camping on an advantageous spot and picking off people approaching the objective is completely fair imo.

Just because it's a game doesn't mean you can't use a mixture of real world tactics.

If someone takes an advantageous spot then it's your problem for not getting their first or for not watching out when going past its field of view.

Picking a part of the environment is part of the game, navigating to the advantageous spot and being tactical about it is part of the game, shooting isn't the only thing in the game.

I'm not that great at cod anymore cause I don't ge to play it as much as I used to, but the only time I moan about kills is when it's by a glitcher or if it's really laggy, if someone has taken a better spot in the environment and uses it to their advantage then all the power to them...

Re: Whats wrong with camping?

I don't know if that was at me boffin but 007 QOS used to have a lot of organised spawn camping so after a few deaths you quit and you couldn't avoid getting deaths you spawn then die.

Im sorry to use an old term here but camping isnt good sportsmanship. You are not activly engaging with the game/players you are just playing hide and seek with virtual guns.

As far as i'm concerned if you cant shoot straight while moving or be able to return fire when being ***** at then what have you got an FPS game for? While you are camping, shooting other players is nothing more than a graphicly advanced reaction test.

While its true that i could sneek up behind the camper and stab him but why should i have to faff about doing that in something thats supposed to be fun?

But, more than all that, the most annoying thing about campers that their unshakable smugness about it. Im sick of the end-of-game banter being nothing more than some camper bleating on about how great he is just because he has the best score in the round, simply because he has cowered away in some corner popping shots at people running by.

EDIT: Why has the word "5hot" been asterisked out? I challenge anyone to prove that the word "5hot" is rude or offensive.

Re: Whats wrong with camping?

My problem with campers is not on modes such as Team deathmatch. Cant really complain when they are just getting kills when your supposed to but its when your on a team game with objectives. I think its very selfish to go around trying to get kills while ignoring the objectives the rest of your team are trying to attack or defend.

Also as other people said you cant really use the whole snipers in real life would because real life is not like the video games we play. Of course there are a select few which are more realistic such as Operation flashpoint but those games people wouldn't moan about camping as its based on more realistic situations. So yeah if your supposed to help your team I think camping is not good, especially if your one of those people who arnt helping and are just trying to look cool and have a name like xXxSniPeReaGlexXx. lool. :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Whats wrong with camping?

I have no problem with camping, it's just another tactic that some people use and it makes it easier to find them to gun them down later. I don't camp as I don't have the attention span but if others want to do it that's fine by me. Spawn campers, on the other hand, are scum that should be chastised and most likely have plastic bed sheets.
