So many arcade racers out there that imitate The Fast & The Furious movies but which one is the closest to resemble it? I think Midnight Club 3 & NFS Underground on PS2 are good contenders. p.s I can't understand why a Fast & Furious game hasn't been released due to its popularity!

I would say Midnight Club. I've always found it better than Need For Speed. Since NFS Carbon every game that's come out has been crap.

As ReKonvicted said, there was a "The Fast and the Furious" game released for PS2 and PSP, it was a tie-in / spin-off of Tokyo Drift. You met up with Twinkie's cousin, and raced around Tokyo's highways and mountains, mastering the drifting mechanic. i so want the PSP version on PSN so i can get it on my Vita!

They should release another f&f game then! Its a no brainer really. All you need is the cars they used in all films, the locations, the cast, soundtrack and you pretty got what most arcade racers crave for and it would certainly make a heap of money! So come on, whoever has the license, make this game happen, it would be awesome if someone like criterion did it!

i think the Tokyo Drift version was made with Namco Bandai and Universal (who have the rights to the franchise i believe), but i dont think its very likely we'll see another F&F game soon, as it didnt do well, critically or sales wise. To be fair though, EA and Need for Speed is similar in the respect that with each F&F film, N4S seems to copy its style

. I base this on: N4S Underground 1, came out after F&F1, and was the 1st to go into the tuning and underground, just what F&F1 introduce. N4SUnderground 2 represents F&F2, with more neon etc. Carbon is Tokyo Drift, the first to focus on mountain drifting. F&F4 following Undercover - basically, the guy (in the film, Brian O'Conner) infiltrating a group of street racers to catch them, like Undercover, and F&F5 is Hot Pursuit, where its more Cops vs. the illegal racers. Obviously, these are just my observations, and peoples opinions differ, but just a thought...
