Re: Who is the gaming version of Pixar?

Valve.

I am a massive fan of Pixar, and Valve are pretty much, for me, the gaming equivalent. Yeah, not the same style, but they're still able to effortlessly add masses of characcter and quality to their games, at the same time making it look completely effortless. As if it is easy for them to do it so well.

Re: Who is the gaming version of Pixar?

Sadly there is no gaming version of Pixar. Games that are worthy of critical acclaim usually stop at one installment or they spawn franchises that get picked clean of any merit from constant sequel making.

Either way developers tend to make one, maybe two great games or they remake the same game over and over unlike Pixar who are consistent and original with most of their projects.

Re: Who is the gaming version of Pixar?

I would say Ubisoft is more closest to Pixar but my best gaming company is Rockstar.

Insomniac maybe ?

The Ratchet & Clank games are leaps and bounds ahead of any other platformer on any format. I'd love to see them make a huge JRPG, as their production values are class.

Insomniac were my first thought!

Though, thinking about it, Valve are too. In terms of releasing hit after hit.

The difference being Pixar release sequels in a shorter time span (I'm looking at you HL:Episode 3)
