I read that article this morning and still don't understand it
Multiplats set for both consoles must be made available on the 360 the same week as PS3, basically.
However, I don't follow the feature/content parity terms. For example, didn't Dead Space 2 ship with Extraction on PS3? Was it made available on XBL at launch or did MS turn the other cheek?
Or am I reading it wrong? Oh, hang on...scratch that - I've just realised I don't actually care
But its ok for M$ to get multiplat exclusives 6 months before? ![]()
Oh what do I care, I get what I'm giving when I'm given it ![]()
I like my exlusives, I'm not one to diss M$ for their's..

the article says it all.
I think in the end they will lose out as puplishers will end up siding with sony, as this ruling is unfair and restrictive.
just shows that microsoft are in it for the money only. and no interest in the consumer.
What they say doesn't even make sense cos' lately they've had many exclusive titles from big third party companies like Rockstar and Square-Enix. Plus some of the content that is shiped on Xbox and PS3 is different in some way "Usually; we get the dumbed down version." but latlely this has turned around with more developers thinking about our console more than the Xbox

sounds like a case for the anti-competitive courts. One one sentence saying we want to ensure the playing field is even, and in the other saying - choose us or lose us.
Forcing the companies to develop for XBOX only, then PS3, anyway consumer choice is not about a level playing field, if developers want to utilise the strengths of each platform it is up to them.
Sounds like MS is scared of some of the PS3 features? maybe 3d, pshome? move?
Doubt it
360 has 3D but it's a gimmick anyway and yes i do have a 3D TV
Err why? TBH it is a farce where most people use their Avatar for avatar flirting
What Wii motion ++, MS could have taken the nintendo route but did not.

It is capable of 3D games (via side by side option iirc) but not 3D films as far as I know.
I do pedantic, me.

No it can't do 3D films like the ps3 as they are released on blu-ray and the 360 does not read them.
However I do have a friend who DL a lot of stuff and he has sais he has had a 3D DL running in 3D on the 360 from a external HDD. but I have not seen his claim in motion so I can't realy say if he is full of himself.
TBH I use a stand alone 3D bluray player over the Ps3 seems to do a better job.
Still gimmicky though lol

Definitely. (yes humble reader, I too own one)
That sounds possible CJS, but are these DL's running at the same bitrate as a 3D BR? (purely out of interest). That's assuming you've asked your friend and he's replied with something other than 'Huh?'

He claims it runs at slightly lower bitrate but is hard to notice.
He says the files are arround 7 to 11GB and runs it through a wired home network.
I will hopefully get up to see him before christmas so hopefully I can check it out then.

Nice, smart little workaround.
