Re: Worthless freebies

ANYTHING   we suggest is met with the same  lame  retoric  ..... SONY  can't offer that  they're  trying to run a Business.

TRYING  being the operative word.

Just something  USEFUL TO ALL ,   The freebies are great for casual gamers  - But Hardcore gamers were affected more  as they play Online MORE     & Most  HG  have / Had those games already.

Personally  .... - A new Dual shock 3 would be useful & comparative  with cost of 2 OLD OUTDATED GAMES.

SONY product too , So it only costs SONY.

Although sony didnt have to offer anything...with what they have offered, they may aswell have not bothered...I only play online, either racing or fps...wheres my thankyou for being patient, wheres my map pack....something i actually would be pleased to have, or something that is less than 6 month old. I mean lbp....come on.....the most pointless game on the planet,,,,unless your under 10 yrs old. Thankyou sony for showing your loyal customers what you really think of us... Why did you put an offer out there. You should have just said sorry its down and we will get it back a.s.a.p and left it at that. Then all user would not be FURIOUS at the poor list...no not poor but absolute bare faced cheek... Is this a reflction of your company.. OLD AND OUT OF DATE AND TOUCH WITH THE REAL WORLD. Thanks Rant over for now

Dumbest thing I've heard and it's been said a few times.

Are you really complaining that Sony have given you MORE than what you want?

What would you prefere? A recent game?

Might I ask you Mr HARDCORE gamer, How annoyed would you be if Sony gave a recent game, that you have recently bought at full price (as you are a "HARDCORE" gamer I'm sure you would have) and everyone else is getting it for free?

Personally I'm ok about it. There's a couple of games I didn't get round to buying (infamous), or didn't want to pay full £'s for (Wipeout)

For the peeps that already have them, you get to play around with PS+ for a month (something that you normally have to pay for), and you also have PSN back up and running

Well I'm certainly not a 'casual gamer' and the only one of those games I have is Quest for Booty.

Re: Worthless freebies

I already own ALL the games & personally think that the least Sony could do is offer some store credit to those who already have all of the offered games (yes i'm one of them)

Pretty miffed that as i have ploughed a small fortune into my PS3 (over 50 PSN titles, 80 odd blu-ray games, 4 controllers, 2 full move controllers & a couple of headsets) & have already purchased all the games to be offered up as compensation, Sony will reward me with...NOWT!!!

Do you realise how much that will cost Sony?

Currently we know their are 70 million PSN accounts, a free controller for every account is 70 million controllers, at say £20 each means Sony will lose 1.4 Billion from lost sales (assuming 70 million people were to buy a controler each).

Then you obviously have to get these controllers to the people, say £3 each for P&P of the 70 million controlers. so thats an extra 210 million.

As you can see, those are som BIG numbers.

How much would you like, £5 or £10 or maybe even £20.

Just going on £5 for each PSN account (currently 70 million) so it would cost Sony 350 million pounds.

the cheapest thing Sony can do is exactely what they are doing, offer some oldish titles that people may not have played.

They know this wont please everyone, but its all they are going to do because anything else will cost huge amounts of money, something which Sony doesnt really have at the moment.
