Hey, the guy hasnt done anything wrong, he just hacked something he owned and is gonna say how he did it.
The ps2 was cracked open in its prime, it didnt miss a beat, if the ps3 hurts because it got hacked and people could commit piracy, all it means is sony has lost its core market, the core that just like in the ps2 days would go out and buy it even though they could get it for free/cheap, and they have no one to blame but themselves if thats the case.

Just because you own the item does not give you the rights to hack and change the way the system works. And posting it up on the internet which makes things even worse.

Since everyone when they downloaded their first firmware update agreed to the EULA they should be banned straight away if they use the hack.
Quoted from the EULA
"You may not lease, rent, sublicense, publish, modify, adapt, or translate any portion of the System Software. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the System Software, or create any derivative works, or otherwise attempt to create System Software source code from its object code. You may not (i) use any unauthorized, illegal, counterfeit, or modified hardware or software in connection with the System Software, including use of tools to bypass, disable, or circumvent any encryption, security, or authentication mechanism for the PS3TM system;"

Not a chance id do it,
Having read the 'digitalfoundry' report, it doesn't seem as if its as clear cut that hacked equals pirated games; due to other layers of protection and the protection on the blu-ray drives and disks.
But if it does gain entry onto the web, no telling how it could snowball..
