Re: Your most overlooked games of 2010

castlevania LOS for me

i had never heard of it b4 gave the demo a go then picked up the game at a bargain price of £19

an amazing game that had me hooked from first cut scene to the end credits ....its a long story game as well no online which i liked it took me nearly 2 weeks to complete on normal and i will not b happy til i have platted it either by far the best £20 i have ever spent on any game in any year

Re: Your most overlooked games of 2010

Most overlooked game in order of importance would be:

Castlevania:LoS (Demo awful game brilliant)

Vanquish (utter genius not a Halo clone)

Dead Rising 2 (far better than people think it is and it just keeps getting better the more you play)

I can't agree with Blur. I love racing games and have been a HUGE fan of Bizarre Creations over the year MSR and PGR games, but Blur was frustratingly unbalanced and the kart game mechanics with sim handling just didn't work, you'd be leading a race online lap after lap and then one lucky hit and you'd go from first to last with no chance of catching up. Games online became a horrible mess of who could drive the slowest and shoot people, good concept woefully executed. In terms of arcade racers Split Second was a much better all round game.

Re: Your most overlooked games of 2010

I was about to buy Vanquish and Castlevania the other day, but decided to save the videogame fund for the onslaught of games coming next year. Mainly Dead Space 2 And Dragon Age 2.

I 100% second that, and also you can pick up Vanquish dirt cheap now various places in the post Christmas sales. Both games are utterly fantastic and well worth playing.

Same with Alpha Protocol, which I consider to be the game of the year.

I'm sure you and I are the only people who enjoyed Alpha Protocol!

Shame the reviews damned the game for issues far more prevalent in other praised games of a similar ilk like Fallout and Mass Effect (in fact I suffered far fewer issues with Alpha Protocol than either of those games).
