digital copy vs disc copy load times

just wondering if anyone has digital copies of games, notice any sort of load time difference

There isn't really much difference digitals are slightly faster but not buy much.

Saying that i'm only using deus ex as my comparison other games might differ more.

I agree with Muttykins. In theory digital games should load a bit faster but I haven't ever noticed much of a difference, if any.

just as the other guys have said, I haven't noticed any quicker loading times, but I normally get in, set it loading and then take my shoes off, by that point the game is normally loaded so it doesn't bother me

It depends on the specific game's architecture.

Most games install entirely to HDD (even if you buy the blu-ray version), so the only delay is during the disc authenticity check when you first launch it.

Games like Red Dead Redemption load scenery on the fly (as you are playing the game) however, and this results in scenery loading marginally slower than the digital version. This is because the blu-ray drive transfers data at a much slower rate than the HDD.
