like i said ,,,,its whisper quiet and i know plenty of people who are in the same boat as me

I look after mine as well. I find it hard because ive never come across a completely silent ps3 before. I didnt even know they existed.

Re: disk noise

Anything with moving parts makes noise.

As for suggesting the Blu Ray drive isn't made to last, care to prove your statement? I'm guessing you can't... and please don't say your 'proof' is the 2 you've had go wrong.

So you have no proof. 4 out of 30+ million units sold isn't exactly solid proof is it?

Its not just 4 though is it? When mine first broke down, I was on the internet searching about it. Its more than 4 mate. As hard as it is to believe the bluray drives in the ps3 are cheap. Its a way of cutting costs.

Re: disk noise

I never said they weren't? I'm not the one making huge assumptions, unlike you. I'm quite confident that this issue you are making out to be huge, isn't. A few hundred, even thousand drives going wrong is nothing out of the blue.

Considering they charge £130 after your 12 months warranty is up it is a big deal.
