some other guy noticed it too and wrote this....... I think I’ve noticed something new since the update, but it may have always been there. Unopened PSN messages now scroll through the text (or at least some of it) before you open them, so you can choose to keep them unread if you want. I noticed this using Remote Play on my Vita, so could just be something that is exclusive on Remote Play, but I’m almost certain I’ve never noticed the scrolling text before. so ytevo you could be right, introduced in 4.20. i suppose it saves me from pressing the x button, i hope i dont get fat fingers with the less exercise.

Yeah you've quoted what I was referring to. I've not had a message while I've been online so I haven't come across it yet.

I didn't think it would be anything wrong :smileyhappy:

Re: fancy spam message

As mentioned, it is a new feature in 4.20, where if there is no subject line, the subject line automatically scrolls part of the message so you can see the content.

Re: fancy spam message

Messages should have like this right from the start, regardless of a subject. So we don't have to go into the awfully slow XMB while in game to read a message about what someone else is having for tea!

No it should not, Remember This pop up Blocks a large area of screen space, untill its finished , very easy for important info to be under neath it for a long time. Thats why SCE gives you the option to strip this junk from your screen for good. With an Off option.  So any work done. Could be completely wasted work.

Very rare for SCE to give you an option at all.

My opinion said it should!

Its not a large area either, and who's to say that there couldn't be an option to have it on or off!?
