Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

I'm quite pleased about the lack of sixaxis nowdays. For the most part, it was just a stupid gimmick that was usually implented poorly as most games weren't really suited for the sixaxis to begin with. Few kind of games are.

All signatures sucks, especially those with images in them.

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

All lair did was continue to show how thick and out of touch reviewers actualy were compared to actual real game players, most of those reviewers are LONG gone.
Most reviewers fully admit now they suck at games in their pod casts and that 13 year olds are better than them.

The most fun with sixaxis I actualy had was with Resi 4.5 aka Dark Sector.
You controll the disc weapon to slice up the bad guys, Tilting the pad to alter the flight path chopping them up, With a power throw you chopped them clean in half. Strangly rewarding when you guide it to multi targets in one go with sixaxis. 6 in one throw.

Killzone 3 has support for it

Sniping can be done using it :smileywink:
Sure some other newer games may have little bit of support.

I hope they have. It never worked anyway
Some say, he's actually dead... But the Grim reaper, is too scared to tell him.
Some say that all his pot plants are called Steve.. and that he has a life size tattoo of his face.. on his face.
All we know.. is he's called the Stig.

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

Although the game wont be to everyone's taste the game Super Rub 'a' Dub really showed off SixAxis at its best, it is really quite accurate and can pick up very small movements, I fear developers just have not implemented it correctly and it has been forgotten about.

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

Why there isn't any Sony first party game which utilizes SixAxis to the max.

For example I came up with an idea where you control a mech/walker/whatever which has weapons on both hands and you could do dual aiming where you get 2 crosshairs for both hands and you use analogsticks to do the aiming and using the Sixaxis to move the mech forward, backwards, left and right.

Pretty simple to me. This could be the mechs advanced control method while keeping "normal" aiming.

[ Edited ]

I liked SixAxis on Heavenly Swords, that felt really good but on MotorStorm it sucked 'cos whether you'd move the controller a bit to the left it'd turn left completely, same for right.

Edit: Burnout Paradise with SX was okay, not too good.

PS3 has PS Move so let SixAxis die already.

Re: have developers forgot about sixaxis??

Can't remember that last time I use sixaxis probably back in 2008 with Uncharted Dreaks Fortune. I don't think Uncharted 2 or 3 supported it.
