if the new ps4 happens to have...

the same bull*****ty problems like YLOD, and Sony offers the same *****ty £130 for 3months warranty will you buy one?

Not saying there will be a ps4 released anytime soon or ever nor am I suggesting it will be called that.

However this should be the perfect time to stand up and say we won't be putting up with the same ***** the next time and maybe buy the Microsoft alterntive if they don't change their ways

Re: if the new ps4 happens to have...

you still only get 9o days on a referb 360 if out of warenty same as sony.

Below is a Signature

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?

Same bull? I've had one YLOD in 4 years. Now I have a Slim so I expect this to last way into when the next generation are here.

I'm also not stupid enough to pay Sony that much money when I can, and did fix my own for a few pound. Something has got to be wrong inside for people to pay that amount.. Even buying a new Slim is better then paying to repair an old ticking time bomb phat beta model and waiting for it to go again a few weeks/months later.. :smileyindifferent:

Re: if the new ps4 happens to have...

in my 4 years ive experienced zero yellow lights and am starting to think its all a myth lol

i have however had a bd drive pack in on me and with my current system the usb ports are dying.

my first 2 ps3's where the old phat models and never had one single problem in theyre lifespan of me having them to selling them on (infact they are both still going strong in new homes) but both slim 120gb's ive had since the launch have developed faults and needed repaired/replaced.

Re: if the new ps4 happens to have...

I sure won't buy a launch PS4 if it consume more than 100W. Chances are that it will have overheating issues again. So I will wait until the more energy efficient models arrive that generate less heat, the PS4 slim or whatever.

I miss the days the consoles were energy efficient enough to be completely fanless as well, the fans can make a lot of noise. The last fanless console ever released was the PSOne, awesome piece of hardware that.

All signatures sucks, especially those with images in them.

Re: if the new ps4 happens to have...

I think we can safely assume the next gen of consoles will have design faults (though would love to be proved wrong), much the same as this. I'll certainly not buy into the next gen of consoles as early as I did this time, I'll wait to see when the initial problems get sorted.

Your fools if anyone thinks ylod does not exist,Sony are building rubbish and its probably the reason their profits are down so much and laying off people, if the ps4 is as unreliable as the ps3 I wouldn't touch it with a stick, unfortunately we wont know until its been out a while which means many of us will have already purchased one.

Who, what, when where?

So if people have never had a failure then that means they don't believe YLOD exist? Eh ok then.. :smileyindifferent: Just because you've had issues (and cant seem to get over it), it doesn't mean that everyone else has. There are still loads of launch 60GBs out there still working. So those people are hardly fools when its a fact that their console still works and they've never experienced YLOD.

Like I said I've only had one YLOD (2 consoles in 4 years) and I waited a year to get my first PS3 (40GB) but that lasted 18 months and unfortunately died from HDD swap and the lengthy restore process.

I wont be buying next gen at launch and will wait about a year depending on price, and games.

Bring back cartridge consoles I say!

It is as everyone knows unfortunate if you get a YLOD, but I don't think it happens that often to everyone that owns a PS3.

I know people who it as happened to more than once within a few months but they've told me that it won't put them off byuing the next console.

Personally if it happened to me I would accept that despite the fact it would be disappointing it's one of those things that could happen to anyone and it really isn't the end of the world. I would still buy a next gen console.

If you're that worried about YLOD occuring again you could look at getting the warranty extended with Domestic and General who will then in most cases replace the console for free.
