them "we need you details for those"

Me " colour me stupid but I ain't letting you have my private detals"

Them "we need them to sort it out"

Me "what so you can take my accounts and steal other data ect ect ect"

Them phone goes dead.

I get these calls regulary, so do my parents. If im not busy i string them along for a while (my record being about 45 mins)

At least while i have them hanging on the phone they cant be trying to con someone else.

They do my head in, but like Lee, if i can be bothered, i string them along. I feel sorry for the people who arent so clued up, and will hand over their details without thinking.

Didn't you know that all phone companies sell your details with phone number onto sales people.

Yet the cheeky b******s will still charge you a fortune for having a phone albeit they have made a profit from your details.

Anybody had the one where they tell you your PC is infected with a virus?

I had one of those last year and had a bit of fun with them. Strung them along for about 15 minutes, telling them I didn't know what I was doing and that they needed to help. Then they asked for my email and my reply was "It's go****yourself@hotmail.co.uk

Best ones are patio phone calls. I ask them all kinds of questions and then sound really interested. They think great we have a sale here, but I then ask if these patios can float because this is a third floor flat.

LMFAO I sort of had the same thing happen to me today.

Me: Hello

Them: Hello we see that your Windows PC has a virus where are calling you today to help remove this virus.

Me: O really my PC has a virus?

Them: Yes are computer is picking up a virus on your Windows PC.

Me: What sort of virus?

Them: A trogin horse.

Me: What is that (i know what it is really)

Them: Someone can see all your details including credit card details and password.

Me: Really?

Them: yes you need to go to our website and download our software to remove this virus.

Me: I have a virus remover all ready I will use the one I have.

Them: That is no good only our virus remover will remove this virus from your windows PC.

Me: My windows PC?

Them: Yes

Me: What windows do I have.

Them: We don't know your Windows PC is flashing up on out system with a virus please go to our website and download the virus remover.

Me: But I don't use Windows I use Linux (I don't really)

Them: You use Linux?

Me: Yes

Them: Ok you don't have a virus good day......phone goes dead.
