I get a steady 10MB download speed but I'd still never pick it over a blu-ray disc, it's not just the movie/game, it's the extras you get with them, maybe it's my age but I still love to have my product I purchase physically in my hand.

Thanks - that's pretty helpful. There are several LLU's in the area.
I may just go ahead and see what these LLU's can do in order to improve my speed.

What's an LLU?

I've just taken out a new 12m contract with BT (with Homehub 2.0), so won't be making any changes just yet; but I'll bear this in mind, cheers. - although I won't be using it for downloading movies etc. My surround sound set-up sucks, I have a young baby, and my sister-in-law is Japanese (and perfecting her English) so I tend to have subtitles on, which I don't think is an option with DL'd movies?
And I like having boxes on my shelf to show people how much money I waste.

It is another thread where someone has foolishly tried to pit the Xbox360 against the PS3.

We even have someone here trying to say that loads of people are going back to the  Xbox360 because of their brand-new-spankly-idea - the Xbox360 'slim'

We all know where it is at - it is all about the PS3 now. If you haven't got one, your losing out. I would feel sorry for Xbox360 owners, but most of them aren't astute enough to realise....

it is not one of those pit ps3 against xbox things , i just  found the comment funny and wondered what you all thought about it,  i don't care for the little rows people have over each console, i got a ps3 and that's all i need untill the next playstation comes out,.

If you have a PS3 your missing out. You only have a 360 then your still missing out.

The key is to have enough money to own both machines and play the best games the world has ever seen in this industry.

I am happy I am a PS3 owner now, but I really do miss so much about the 360. For me a fun and centent filled community is a must have. The 360 is leagues ahead of SONY on that section. Not just by having party chat. But by having a really great community and very well done website.

This website feels like SONy can't be arsed to look afterthere community, and have dumped some crap website on them.

I find these threads laughable.

In terms of multiplatform games, some are better on xbox, others on ps3, but the difference is negligible to be honest.

In terms of online experience (market, gaming, chatting, community etc) then I'd say the Xbox is miles ahead, granted I've only been here for a week, but PSN just isn't close to XBL.

Each system has awesome exclusives that should not be dismissed by either party. In my opinion I'd say those on Xbox are better, but thats why I have had my xbox a lot longer than my PS3.

At this stage in the consoles life span, it's crazy not to own both systems, particularly if the one you don't have is xbox, they are cheap enough that most people can just buy one without consideration, and II cant imagine many gamers that couldn't afford one after a month or so of saving.

For the record, Move and Kinect both look terrible and I can't see me ever being interested in gimmicky crap like that. 3D falls in to this category too, it's ruining cinema and the only benefit it brings there is antipiracy protection, don't let it ruin games too!
