so PSN gets hacked and just as thinks begin coming back online i get the dreaded YLOD =( any1 know what i can do now ive heard i can contact sony about a replacement, does nyone know how i go about doing this?

If it's still in warranty then Sony will send you a new console or fix your one. Not sure which.

Ive never been sent a new console.

They have always been refurbs - Not very good quality either.

To the OP - If your out of warranty.DO NOT pay £130 for one of these refurbs -  you only get 3 months warranty with them.Its not worth it.

Better to just bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Is it a slim by the way? - I thought these dont get YLOD?

I wraped my ps3 in a hoody just leaving the back vents exposed and used a hair dryer going along the vents for 25mins and left outside for half an hour and thats it,been working fine for me over 3 months since i had YLOD

Are they really still charging £130 for a refurb with a three month warranty when a new one isn't much more?
