I have had 2 consols Ylod, 60g and a 40g and I can assure you it is not a firmware up grade, I know this techno freak and it is something to do with an internal switch that eventually becomes like a dry solder joint, obvoiusly it can take years and years etc but the old fatties will pretty much all potentially  ylod eventually as it is just part of the design, some do it earlier than others but hey its electronics and these consols do alot of work, you cant expect any consol to last forever it just wont happen.

I have ten times more issues with computers than I ever have with any consols. best thing you can do is buy a new slim and move on I have.

prove it's not the firmware. people keep asking me for proof yet they cant prove it's not. also i wouldnt be trolling here if i had a ps3 to play, anyone wanna buy me a new one?

It is impossible to prove a negative. The onus is on you to prove it IS the firmware.

Why not just pay sony some money and get it fixed?

I want to get one, but judging from some of the video's flight time only lasts about 10 minutes.

Flight time for any electric helicopter is around 10 minutes.

Problem with the Drone is that they are a toy, it flies it self and you have very limited control.

If you arent interested in "flying" at all, then give it a go.

If you want to actually fly a helicopter, go to a hobby store and get an Eflite 120 SR

I give up on this thread aye, whinging about it aint going to get your PS3 fixed, guys on here have tried to help but your just not taking on board what they are saying, your PS3 is stuffed get it fixed or buy a new one quite simple really.
