hey guys

I was wondering how you move the content from the play tv libray to your xmb so you can put it on a external hdd?

Within the library section of PlayTv, select the video you want to copy, with the X button, and choose to move to XMB. This will then move the programme into the video column of the XMB. Note it says move. Once you have done this, the programmes is removed from the PlayTv library.

Just a note on file sizes - PlayTv writes files as M2TS, so depending on the channel the programme is recorded from, the file may exceed the 4GB limit for copying to external devices.

For example, I recorded Die Hard 3 from BBC1 earlier this year. It was 2hours, 20mins long and it was nearly 5GB in size.

Once you've recorded a programme using PlayTV, goto the 'Libary' select the programme you want, high-lite it by pressing X, then select 'Move to Home Menu'.

It only takes a few seconds to transfer over, & will appear in a folder called 'PlayTV' inside your Video's column.

hey guys 

i have tried this but is does not give me the option to move it.

is it possible that it is because i have an aus copy.

they have only just been relesed here. what other solutions can you think i could try

Unfortunately the Move To Home option has been removed in Australia! See http://www.avhub.com.au/NewsArticle.aspx?MagazineID=4&NewsArticleID=1527 for an explanation.

Pretty sad for anyone who bought a PVR / Media Centre with a games console thrown in! I'll be making sure all my freinds know about this before they buy one.
