Re: [press release] Sony Europe announces platinum range for PS3

I;m sorry but this is quite bizzare why has a UK moderator on a uk playstation site given us prices in euros?? It doesn't make any sense!
If you don't try you can't fail but then you can't win either.

Re: [press release] Sony Europe announces platinum range for PS3

Do we just wait to see what gets re-released as Plat? or will there be a list?  Also, instead of dropping store prices, why not look to reducing some PSN prices for full titles such as GT4 & Warhawk.  From day one they were cheaper to buy in store.

Honestly, the only game I'm missing that I would like to pick up cheaply is Warhawk.  That must have sold more the 400k.

@Wave07

I suspect it's either a copy & paste :smileywink: or within our region (PAL) there are more people on the Euro than £.

Sorry les i think we are giving you unfair stick here when it's not your fault and it's your second from last day. It isn't aimed at you mate it's just most psn europe is frustrated at the yanks getting everything and us getting....well not a very fair crack of the whip to be honest.

Re: [press release] Sony Europe announces platinum range for PS3

It's still not much of a bargain though is it? For games that are over a year old and you can get mint condition second hand ones for less, but still trying to wring out your pockets is kinda cheeky. As there isn't any further money made by the developer after the initial sale, I fail to see this being a success.

To be fair it was no different to the PS2 platinum range. They were initially £19.99, yet you could find the same game pre-owned for less. However, mums and dads looking in Woolies for their kids games see the platinum range at £20 or so, and they'll lap it up

Re: [press release] Sony Europe announces platinum range for PS3

Over £20 for a platinum game, that's ridiculous! Most PS3 games which have been out for more than 6 months can be found on eBay with a maximum of £14 for each one and that's pushing it!

But they are not £20 though are they?
