so how many PS3s you on ..... and why?

Just curious as to why you bought another PS3 - fault or choice? If completely voluntary, what prompted your decision the most?

On my 2nd PS3 (250GB Slim) since 2008. My last one (40GB) died from the outrageous back up and restore feature after I changed the HDD.

Re: so how many PS3s you on ..... and why?

I have one, a 40GB model from 2007. I intend to buy a newer model soon though, the fan in my current PS3 is making a lot of noise and I wouldn't be surprised if it get YLOD soon.

I guessing Sony will announce a more energy efficient model with a larger hard drive (500GB) later this summer though (probably at GDC Europe in mid-august), so I will wait for that to see if my hunch is correct.

All signatures sucks, especially those with images in them.

3rd, originally had the last 40gb model with same hw as first 80gb (CECHJ03) in 2008, then decided to upgrade to the 250gb slim(CECH-2003B) in 2010 and finally a few months ago upgraded to the satin silver 320gb (CECH-3003B SS)... mostly because I got it for £99.98 new from the game site :smileyvery-happy:

Re: so how many PS3s you on ..... and why?

60gb US PS3 from 2007 to 2009. Got the YLOD to sold it for parts.

60gb UK PS3 bought at launch.

I then sold this for.....

120gb Slim when they came out.

I then sold that for.....

250gb PS3 due to Game selling them off brand new for £150. Sold old 120gb for just over £100 so I got a new PS3 with bigger hard drive and 12 month warranty.

I then bought a pre owned 80gb for my bedroom.

I then sold that for.....

320gb Red PS3 this is now my current main PS3. Wile my 250gb PS3 is now in my bedroom.

So in total I have had 6 PS3's. Only one of them broke the others where just upgrades.

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?
