wireless channels

ok so my ps3 is mainly connected to my wifi network. Recently like TODAY there was this other wifi network next door, then it went and came with a new wifi network and then my PSN is slow. Then I realised that my router has started picking channel 1! Previously it was on ch 6 even if I reboot it a million times, but today with the new or replaced or whatever wifi network, I have no idea what the other one is doing my router picks channel 1. Now I know I can change it to 6 again but its still slow. My Question, should I go for whatever it picks or go ch 6? I would be happy for a solution. Thanks!

Try various channels I use 9 as no one uses that near me

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?

Agreed. For some reason I tend to change to channel 9, as everything seems to be set to channel 1 by default, thereby adding to interference. I think the choice of channel 9 is something to do with the Fast Show.
