Not had many problems with it had a few freezes but found a few ways to avoid them.

1. Let web pages fully load properly before moving on to something else.

2. Clear cache, cookies, history regularly but not while pages are loading.

3. Dont use playstation.com as your home page takes a while to load fully.

4. Use the default web search rather than using Google homepage.

All the above has worked for me not had a freeze since.

I've used pretty much the same methods as mont and not had any problems at all.

Re: 4.10 browser update, worse than before

I havent had any problems at all. Only had one freeze since the firmware update. For me its much improved, especially with its speed at loading pages. I tend tend to use the browser for streaming NFL n Tv shows and more sites work now than with the old browser.

Re: 4.10 browser update, worse than before

I must agree, very bad indeed!. I actually preferred it before even with how bad it was. Now, you can't click video links to stream all you get is an error, I find it very annoying because it came in handy. Websites take forever to load, even the ps3 homepage. We need a HUGE update on this otherwise its a useless entity on the console <_<

I've heard there are a few problems that people are experiencing, but I have not experienced any of them.

No problems my end still fine running on a wired connection i have found losing the XMB icons is usually caused by quitting the browser while pages and websites are still loading or during video playback.

Tips i would suggest is make sure the clock/busy icon in the top right hand corner isn't active when exiting the browser or when moving on to other websites.

It's definitely worth keeping the browsers memory clear by regularly deleting history, search history, cache and authentication information and occasionally cookies.

Re: 4.10 browser update, worse than before

Yeah it's much, much worse.

Since my PC fried a few weeks back, I've  no choice but to use the PS3 browser.

Before the update, yeah it was kinda slow but it didn't crash my PS3 as much, there was no delay when closing it down before the patch ect.

It's hard to believe but they made it worse, lol.
