4od channel help

Is it normal for the 4od programmes to stutter every now and then? It doesn't occur very frequently but I noticed that it happened consistently over the whole episode of Deal or No Deal which I was watching.

Edit = depends what you mean buy stutter.
If you mean micro pauses for buffeting then NO, that's not normal, If you mean a micro frame skip. While the OS goes and does other tasks like message popups and Download completion
Then yes but not with out there being a reason or other task you set up.

Re: 4od channel help

Have you changed your HDD and what speed is your internet?

My iPlayer has a slight pause about every 10 seconds but I've read that's somthing to do with my WD HDD "parking" or something.

I tryed 4od last night and apart from it hardly having any shows on it that are on the full website it worked realy well. Sound and picture Quality where good and there where no pauses. But my HDD light wasn't flashing so maybe 10gb internet is fast enough for it not to need to buffer.

Avoid using 4OD via the TV section use it via the browser details below in the link.

Click the link in my post above that workaround should eliminate or drastically reduce any 4OD issues.

Re: 4od channel help

Normal for it not to go wrong at all for me.

1st step = Kick every one else of your connection.

2nd step = Turn off 1080p on PS3, use 720p mode or less in PS3 settings, ALL CONTENT on 4OD IS SD or less than 480p. ANY WAY So let the TV do the Upscale...not the PS3.

Single window usage only.

Could run 4OD all night long With that set up...
