Re: BBC Sport App Beta on PS3

[ Edited ]

Well spotted.

The audio feed is mono In DTS and DD with just one rear left channel enabled via optical.

If you have DD or DTS selected as the source in PS3. All out puts will be mono, both optical and analogue (i don't have HDMI sound amp)

You need to turn both off and use PCM 2.1, with DD PLII decoding for the moment.

Just a guess but....

This should not effect HDMI amps As lossless PCM audio should allways over ride lossy codecs (DTS&DD) on the amps.

I get the same problem, I can't get any videos to work and it says this content is not available.  I deleted it and redownloaded it and it still the same

Yea, I can't stand the soccer either, Im going to have to wait for F1/tennis coverage to test the live Streams.

Noticed BBC red button( In the short time I could put up with soccer)  was limited to only 4 feeds for normal sport. Hope thats different when F1/tennis is running as there are more than 6 top F1 drivers.

lol Yes live sport events, We allready have Iplayer for "catch up" use of what we don't record. This app replaces red button on Tivo boxes/InternetTVs/BD players for selected sport events, it was made due to the olympics requiring to many feeds for the red button system to handle so they use your broadband instead.

Cheers for the heads up on the audio issue. I was baffled when I finally managed to get the app running (froze my Ps3 3 times when it hit 100% downloaded) and all the audio only came through a single speaker. The PQ seemed pretty good, looking forward to trying a HD stream when they are available. Hopefully a patch will be released soon to fix the audio quibble tho

Re: BBC Sport App Beta on PS3

Good app and worked well for me. Live stream was consistant and of good quality, it will be interesting to see how it copes with F1.

Like the change in exiting the app.

Don't like the control scheme change when using the BR remote.
