A Crackle app has been announced for the 360 but still nothing for the PS3 even though Crackle is owned by sony, what are your thoughts on this?

Sony Movies allready has a rental service on PSN in Some EU areas.

It does not have one on XBOX 360. So it will only result in more money for Sony movies

Sony Movies Has no Working connection with SCEE.

They are seperate companies.

If APPLE are willing to pay Sony movies more than PSN can make, content will be sold to Apple Itunes exclusively for rental. If the crackle store can sell more advert funded content then It will get exclusives, thats the only effect this will have on PSN.

Remember that this is only for GOLD members on XBox 360 and the adverts will pay for it.

But Crackle is a free service the is no fees/subscriptions the only income is ad revenue which could be earned via the ps3 too.

Never heard of this until the recent news http://www.crackle.com/ it looks like the BBC to be fair. Dated movies which you have seen a million times Which is why I use BBCiplayer for these type of films

Crackle is actually on the NA Playstation Home. Free films to watch in personal apartments
