DVD picture problem

hi when i play a dvd i get 2 big black lines either side of the picture so the pic is in the middle of the screen any ideas how to change it ti full screen? thanks

On the XMB under [SETTINGS] go down to [VIDEO SETTINGS] and in that menu look for [BD/DVD Upscaler].  Press [X] and change this setting to [FULL SCREEN]. That should fix it for you.
