TO OP Your SDTV is just to OLD. Go MOVE the PS3 back to the HDTV when you can afford one, If you wait till next year You can Get a model with HD freeview built in or go for the even cheaper Freesat HD Panasonic Range. Other wise the Extra channels will just be SD again and it will cost another £200 for the HD reciever.

The LAST GEN of SDTV were MULTI REGION TVs With 1 Single back board that would be swapped when Shipped to UK..... ( With the scart sockets on.. ) These work with S-video or AV leads on any TV settings so you dont have one of these . If you HAVE a DVD recorder which can switch s-video 60Hz to RGB 60hz then the colour might come back, then you can check out BD live. Better than Crappy DD5.1 sound tracks and the JAVA menu driven BD extras that DVD will never ever HAVE.

Hmmmm, guess i'll start saving up for a HD TV then and probably get it around Christmas (or for christmas) I don't have a job atm :Lol: So i've got no money coming in but i'll soon be getting £30 a week again when I go back to college xD
