Wondering if I ordered a Netflix disc (free) it may not work should it be a US service only?

I have read articles about it but none stated anything about it being region locked or not. Any info would be great.

The disc itself would probably work - i.e. load on your PS3 - but the service is IP-locked to the US, so you wouldn't get to see anything.

when will netflix be in uk man i wanna wtahc films and tv shows such as the great classis epsiode as the interent says that yiou can wtahc old tvs hows suhc as hey arnold, kenan and kel, dragonball z etc... give me thge time and date if anby of you know it man , i no its relased in us as other people on my psn list have it.

Lovefilm has allready released thier UK app. (now owned by amazon)
With built in IP address filters.
Copyright agreements with UK TV channels will block TV Content release up to a point.

Im trying to see if there is a work around.

You no longer need the disc, so i downloaded the app from the US Store. I think it depends on getting a genuine account set up with lovefilm from your computer.

Would be good to see Netflix on PS3 in the UK - they do subtitles on streamed content (the other half is hard of hearing), Lovefilm don't and don't seem that bothered....

I just switched my ps3 on and the Netflix icon has appeared in the tv section on the XMB.

Booted it up, 13 mb download, then it asks if you are a member, I said no, it then asked for my name and e:mail address so that I can be notified of when netflix is available in the uk.

Anyone else have this icon appearing today?

The Netflix app, which is displaying a coming soon message, shall give PSN users the chance to sign up for an email notification once the Netflix service becomes available. Everyone should be seeing the Netflix app and this notification.
