HD clips playback gets stuck after paused. Resume required seconds

[ Edited ]

Most of my HD clips I downloaded from my computer and converted to play into PS3 format.

Many times when I play a clip, whenever I pause a scene and press play again the clip seems to get jammed (responseless) for a few seconds and even up to 30 seconds. Usually I'd have to stop the clip and play again inorder to resume playback.

Anyone having this techinical glitch? is it normal perhaps the bitrates are too high for the console to handle? Thanks in advance.

Are you streaming files or playing of the HDD Or USB HDD.

USB HDD

If its USB HDD it sounds like the USB HDD is going to sleep/power reserve mode after the pause is used.

And not going back to High speed mode again. Until you disconnect/reconnect it.

If it has an external power supply connect it.

If you are streaming

The Media server does not seam able to Restart the stream correctly.

Internal HDD.

No idea.  The HDD sould never sleep that badly. Even with HD files the Internal data rate is to fast.

Try rebuilding the PS3 HDD file restructure

Actually I'm playing directly from my PS3 Hard Drive.

Oh it's my internal 160G HDD. Just that bluray runs fine, no lagging or frezzing when playback. Only happens when I playback from the movie clips I downloaded and stored. Funny thing is when the clip is not HD the problem is almost non-existent. Just having problems with HD clips.

thanks for taking attention to my post:Wink:
