HDTV Advice

My birthdays coming up soon could anyone reccomend a good TV for PS3?

I'd like it to be LED if not LCD. 32". Within £400-600.

Anyone help? Just not sure what is the best one.

Here's a few:

Re: HDTV Advice

LED and LCD's are the exact same technology.

The difference is that LED uses LED light to illuminate the panel whereas typical LCD's use CCFL.

Discount the Samsung B6000, it's not that great a TV and the auto-dimming ruins the black levels and panel uniformity, and it can't be bypassed either, and the speakers are seriously ***** on it too.

That leaves just the Sony and the Panasonic. The Panasonic is now being replaced by the G20 and also the S20. The G10 is still a fine TV but the S20 beats it by a large margin now as it has an IPS panel. Haven't seen any reviews for the G20 yet though.

The Sony I'd pay the extra £50 and get the W series model over the V instead as it's the superior TV, having a slightly crisper picture.

If it were between the G10 and the W5500, I'd probably say the Sony is the better TV out of the two.

This would also be worth looking at as an alternative to an LCD, and would probably be my pick at this money.

Thanks for the advice. So LED dosen't make much difference for its money? I think I found quite a good one here http://www.directtvs.co.uk/Sony_KDL32W5810_32_LCD_TV_KDL32W5810U/version.asp?refsource=dtfroogle

Re: HDTV Advice

Yeah for that kind of money, I really think you can (and should) go bigger than 32" for a better HD experience.

Heres another one for you to look at:

Going bigger doesnt mean you get a better experiance, it all depends on viewing distance.
