Hi
We have just got a PS3 (slim) for Christmas and whilst the BBC iplayer works well we cannot get the Lovefilm bit to work.
If I click on the Lovefilm icon it goes to the bit asking for sign in details (username and password) where I have put in my PS3 details. It then goes to a page saying Loading....and there it stays ! Occasionally it has crashed the whole PS3, at other times we can get out of it and try again (but only after logging out and back in again).
Any ideas anyone ?
Thanks, yours in ultimate frustration.....

You need a non traffic shaped ISP service to connect to LoveFilm.
Sign into the PSN before you start the application. will help with net traffic delays .
You will also need to sign up to Love Film using the application with credit card but you will require a PC type Web browsers to confirm your details after sign up and to order Games if you sign up to that part.
You can't order games Its only a film application.
YouTube PS3 companion app HD video, NA 1.04/EU 1.00 720p HD Video

Hi Thanks for the response.
Not sure what a non shaped isp is...
Anyway we have a subscription to love film- unlimited.
THe sequence of events happenns as follows. Switch machine on. Choose user. Log in to PSN. Head for love film. click on icon- Loading please wait banner on and on and on until we get tired of it and push ps button to quit. Screen goes blank for anything up to 2 mins then back to xmb? Reset software settings to default in tools. Try again. This time get a log in over top of banner then banner returns with no change.
We have tried the JAVA bit, no diff, added users, deleted users reset to factory setting, and deleted/ reinstalled all to no avail.
most annoying, something not right..

Thanks
Hi Thx for your suggestions the other day.
We are however no further forward. THe app just hangs on the first loading page most of the time.
Last night we got to the activation stage (after leaving loading please wait for over an hour) and it then we got the it appears you have d eactivated your ps3 please confirm message. We pushed cancel as advised and now we are back to the old tricks of loading please wait.
This was after re- formating and resetiing to defaults.
Everything else work fine.
Any other thoughts.

Hi there,
Having exactly the same problem with my ps3 and lovefilm... tried all of the fixes on the lovefilm website with no resolve.!!
I have had several correspondance with lovefilm (which appear to be automated responses) but nothing works.!!! GRRRRR
All my other apps work (BBC iPlayer, Netflix, 4oD, ITV Player, MUBI, Vidzone) only Lovefilm?
It runs fine through my macbook, and worked fine on ps3 until one day last week it just froze and wouldn't load past the "loading please wait" banner?????
Any help would be very much appreciated :-(

Try going to the web browser and turning off JavaScript. I don't remember if I had to reboot but as it's fast it's probably a good idea. Then open the web browser again and turn on JavaScript and then try loading the Lovefilm app. I had to re-enter my credentials to get it going but then everything was up and running again. Let me know if this helps. I have the rev 2 PS3 but I'm assuming this should work for all if hardware is the same.

Same problem here...checked date, time, java, cookies, cache, etc.. Done a system restore..
..itv player works fine..lovefilm and BBC iplayer just freeze, eventually reporting a 'try again' issue and quitting usually causes a reboot...
