I tried to download music to my ps3 but when I download it I get this message : Http code 206.

What's the problem? and what shall I do?

Greetings.

Sadly firmware update (version 4.11) disables download support for music via external websites, This means you can not download music from the PS3 web browser, This is why you're receiving this.

No its not . Some sites use over complicated scripting for no reason. 

 And partly because Users don't read the web page.

Amazon.co.uk still works fine but 1 download at a time. (This Is why SCE do not provide a music download service as Amazon and Itunes are STILL in a price war.)

Amazon.co.uk still gives you free tracks on the web site some times to test the downloads out.

When amazon asks you to install their appliation, select. NO. with circle. Then select continue as normal and the MP3 will be downloaded to the PS3 HDD. 

Free Music downloads from amazon still work. 

( got a HMV account that DOES NOT work as its free from my Bank with heavy security.  )

You should learn your HTTP codes then, a couple of sites do indeed still work, but loads and loads of people now report that the ones they use now no longer work.

hi guys if you want to get free music on ya ps3.....

tubidy.mobi/.... Then you can search for your song and you find the right one... then it says 'mp3 download' you click that and then save it too your hard drive then wait for it to download.... =)

A status code of 206 is a response to a request for part of a document. This is used by advanced caching tools, when a user agent requests only a small part of a page, and just that section is returned.
